A few things worth knowing
Straight answers about joining, invitations and what you see in a Nook meeting.
Do I need an account to join?
Not always. A host can allow guests to join with an invitation link and a display name. Some meetings require an account, a specific invitation or approval in the waiting room.
Why am I waiting to enter?
The host may have enabled a waiting room or restricted access. Keep the page open while the host reviews your request. If your invitation was declined or the meeting is locked, contact the organizer.
What does the browser pause notice mean?
The site operator can temporarily pause browser audio and video. This is a service setting, not evidence of a fault with your device. Joining still checks your invitation and waiting-room access before showing the notice.
Are the people in the simulation real?
Simulated participants are fictional and are marked as simulated. Their names, illustrated cameras, messages and actions are generated for the simulation. They are not people attending a real call.
How do I change the language?
Use the language picker in the site header. Nook offers English, Spanish, German, French and Brazilian Portuguese. Your choice is remembered in this browser; it does not change other participants’ language.
What control do I have during a call?
When browser media is enabled, you choose whether to turn on your microphone or camera and your browser asks for permission. You can leave at any time. Hosts can manage admission, participant roles and the meeting itself.
