The simulation room
The simulation room is a sandbox anyone can open without an account. It fills with simulated participants so you can see how Nook looks and behaves in a busy call. Nothing you do there is saved.
Simulation meetings
Signed in, you can create a meeting of type Simulation. Hosts add simulated participants — one by one or a whole crowd at once, up to the limit this server allows — and real people can join alongside them.
Scenarios
- Calm — relaxed conversation with longer turns and few interruptions.
- Active — quick turns, reactions and chat.
- Presentation — one presenter shares slides, then takes questions from raised hands.
- Join & leave — people keep arriving and dropping off, some with flaky connections.
Everyone sees the same thing
Simulations are deterministic: the same settings produce the same behavior at the same moment for everyone in the room. Nothing is streamed — each browser calculates the same result on its own, which keeps even large simulated rooms light.
Always labelled
Simulated participants carry a “Simulated” badge and a dashed outline everywhere they appear. They never send real audio or video, never count toward the real participant limit and can’t be mistaken for people.
