Meeting types
Video, audio, open rooms, stages and simulation meetings — and when to use each.

The five types
- Video — a regular meeting with cameras, screen sharing and chat.
- Audio — voice only. Cameras can’t be turned on, which keeps things relaxed and light on bandwidth.
- Open room — always available, with no schedule. People drop in and out, and the room shows who’s inside.
- Stage — hosts and presenters speak, everyone else listens and can raise a hand. Hosts can bring listeners on stage.
- Simulation — a meeting with simulated participants for trying layouts and rehearsing. See Simulation rooms and simulation.
Recurring meetings
Video, audio, stage and simulation meetings can repeat daily, on weekdays, weekly, every two weeks or monthly. For weekly patterns you can pick the days. A series can end after a number of meetings or on a date.
Occurrences are calculated in the meeting’s own time zone, so a 10:00 meeting stays at 10:00 there when clocks change. Everyone else sees it in their local time.
